Technical Lead (Backend)
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate individual with excellent technical, communication and organizational skills and desire to deliver the best. You will be responsible for architecting, building and scaling the overall product with your team's assigned projects, as well as your own project deliverables.

A successful person in this role will be unafraid to get into the details of our solutions, guide and present ideas and take on end-to-end ownership of the product.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute and build the overall architecture of the product.
  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
  • Build high availability and extremely reliable high volume transactional systems.
  • Strong expertise in Web/RESTful API development, database programming, query performance & optimization etc.
  • Lead a team to write and deliver code that is modular, highly scalable, and robust to achieve better quality.
  • Continuously improve software engineering practices, as well as educate the broader organization of best practices.
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
  • Conduct Design and code reviews to ensure code adheres to development standards.
  • Coach and mentor junior developers as needed to build code to adhere to standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams and product owners for delivering optimal technology solutions.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Hands on experience in Programming in PHP and Javascript, their frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, Angular JS) and databases.
  • Experience in developing and designing high performance, scalable, cloud native, headless, web applications.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in cloud computing and cloud hosted applications such as Amazon AWS, EC2 and S3.
  • Experience in No SQL databases is a plus (Mongo, Casandra, Hadoop).
  • Experience in clustered cache is a plus such as Redis, Memcache, Coherence.
  • Linux/Unix Working knowledge.
  • Experience with Git, Bitbucket, JIRA and related practices.
Desired Experience: 5 - 7 years
