This colonial bungalow has been opened to travelers with absolutely no structural changes and minimal changes to its interiors. As with all colonial mountain structures, it is built in stone with sloping roofs. There is a large number of doors and windows with English-style glass panes and of course the customary verandah. The original walls, wood-burning Franklin stove for heating, two-storey wooden ceilings, floorings and staircase have been retained.
Bungalow has been renovated with care to preserve its beautiful wooden features – whole tree trunks are laid across the length of the structure as support beams; a gleaming wooden staircase leads from the Living area to the Mezzanine level; finely crafted wood beading and window pane edging depict a rare attention to detail. The exterior stone walls are imposing, with carefully hand-chiseled stone facing.
