Being located away from the city clamour, this beach has a very South Goa vibe to it and is generally not visited by many tourists. Apart from this, the tourists can visit Tiracol fort which is famous for its Portuguese structure and church situated in the fort. This fort was earlier converted into a heritage hotel but was closed after some time. Morjim beach is only 2.8 km from this place and can be visited easily. This beach is famous for its turtle nesting that takes place from November-April. Mandrem beach is also very near to this place, is famous for its creek that runs parallel to the sea.
