It is surrounded by thick coniferous forest as seen from the front side of the rooms. The forest starts at a distance of just 15 meters from the rooms. You also get a panoramic view of the Himalayas through the towering Deodar trees. The place is also frequented by wild animals and you can even get a glimpse of Tiger, incidentally Mukteshwar has been traditionally frequented by Tigers & Leopards as has been adequately covered in the famous book "The Man Eaters of Kumaon" in 1944 by Jim Corbett.
The mushy mattresses and soft pillows make this place unique. There is one double bed in the room. Each room has an attached bathroom. The wide window in the room allows the sun to peep inside to lighten it up in the morning. To boot, considering your comfort, the room has been stockpiled with wooden furniture.

This is an old settlement developed by the British in 1893. The British founded IVRI, an acronym of Indian Veterinary Research Institute and the place boasted of well equipped research laboratories where great scientist like Alexender Flemming & Lui Pasture had pursued their studies. Mukteshwar was the only other settlement after Nainital to have a road link & electricity during British era. For locals this was the life line as connectivity started form this place and ended over here, therefore, this was a vibrant economic hub after Nainital during yester years.
