Facing the lush slopes of a tea garden, you are greeted by a small lawn, with chartreuse hedges that line flower beds abloom with a colourful assortment of flowers. A canopied garden swing is ideal to sway on with a book for company and nothing on your mind but the tranquillity surrounding you. The cottage, with its green saltbox roof and arched doorway and window frames, makes a pretty picture. The interiors are simple and functional, with a compact living room that is flooded with sunlight through the ample windows during the day. It is furnished with comfortable sofas and a television to keep you entertained. The adjoining dining space has a six-seat dinette to make mealtimes convenient and a double door refrigerator. The three bedrooms sport wall-to-wall carpeting, a cupboard for convenience, and a double bed in each. The bathrooms are tiled and appointed with western sanitary ware.

One of the popular trekking trails leads Tourists to Lamb’s Rock that is 9 km from Coonoor. Lamb’s Rock overlooks the Coimbatore plains, providing a spectacular view of the tea and coffee plantations. A little ahead of Lamb’s Rock is located the Lady Canning’s Seat that offers a panoramic view of the Nilgiris.
