Just at the entrance of the sleepy town of Jageshwar, jutting out inconspicuously from a hilltop is the enchanting cottage. While close enough to be able to easily walk to the temple cluster of Jageshwar, it is far enough to be able to enjoy the tranquility of Jageshwar. Adding to the charm of the pristine setting, is the rivulet Surabhi, winding its way towards the temples to pay homage to the Great Lord Shiva.
The place is perfect for a peaceful holiday. It is ideally located for those wanting to introspect, meditate or take a break from their stressful lives. However, for those who like a little action, there is plenty to do in and around Jageshwar. Situated in the mountains, Jageshwar can be visited anytime. Summers are cool, winters get quite cold and it may snow. Being a sacred site, crowds throng the place during important religious festivals.
Guests can unwind on the terrace of the place, soaking in the morning sun with a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee and their favorite book. Gazing into the Deodar forest, one can spot birds that are happily confined, by their own will, to this area. Meals are served in the beautiful dining room encased with glass on one side through which you can get an unparallel view of the forest and snow capped mountain peaks. The big fireplace in the middle of the room keeps you warm as you savour delectable homemade food. Interacting with other guests in the dining area and enjoying the beautiful views, you wouldn't miss room service. If you like any particular dish or are keen to learn signature Kumaoni dishes, we can try and arrange a cooking lesson for you too. Feel free to exchange recipes with our cooks and make yourself feel at home.
