Private room to stay

What can be more beautiful than waking up to the picturesque view of the Kinner range of mountain. (Note to Guesthouser, I can't upload pictures via app) We (with spouse) went to Kalpa in the month of June. The first impressions - very welcoming hosts, friendly and very helpful. We reached at around 9pm, a time when Kalpa sleeps in pitch darkness. We were licky enough to have hot home-cooked food for dinner at such a short notice. A small apple orchard in the front porch, stairs that reminded of British-era architecture, and not so contemporary (but very cozy) furniture were features that made use feel very comfortable. We were, however, offered a room not with the view as shown in the pictures. But we got an easy upgrade with 500 Rs. extra per day, so we don't mind. I think it was worth the view. The "view" room also came with electric heater mattresses, which was nice! The rooms were very tidy, over all. We loved the fries and coffee. Ideal place for people seeking a soothing and relaxing experience. Great for couples. #Warning - The roads are a little tough and you must preferably hire a comfortable taxi from Shimla or Chandigarh if you're not very fond of driving through the mountains. #Verdict - I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT VERY SOON, AGAIN. And recommend it to everyone planning an escape from the city.
