Spilling out of a side valley that tapers north towards eroded snow-capped peaks, the Ladakhi capital sprawls from the foot of a ruined Tibetan style palace - a maze of mud-brick and concrete flanked on one side by cream-coloured desert, and on the other by a swathe of lush irrigated farmland. Place to visit: Hemis Monastery: There are interesting tourist places in Ladakh. The Hemis monastery is the largest monastery in Ladakh. Hemis is famous for the huge painting of Buddha displayed once in 11 years to the public. Thiske Monastery: The Thiske monastery near Leh is known for its architecture while the Shey Monastery houses a huge gold plated copper statue of the Buddha. Gompas in Ladakh: Alchi, Likir and Lamayuru are amongst the oldest Gompas of Ladakh. Sankar Gompa, 3-km north of the town centre, is among the most accessible monasteries in central Ladakh. Nubra Valley: The beautiful Nubra valley with its breathtaking views transports Lakes in Ladakh Ladakh is blessed with some beautiful lakes.
The nearest one airport is Leh, from which there are daily flights to Delhi and weekly flights to Srinagar and Jammu.

I had good stay but the property we booked for was not available and another property was arranged by Guesthouser and we had a great time!
Although there was a slight difference between the pictures and the reality but the property was nice
