This is a beautiful Scottish-style bungalow from the nineteenth century, featuring pyramid hip roofs with tiled shingles and a manicured lawn. A roomy driveway, lined with potted plants and bordering the well-kept lawn, gives way to a covered porch that leads inside. The living room boasts a high ceiling, comfortable couches, an antique chest that functions as a centre table, antique carved-wood lamps, a lovely fireplace with a wooden mantle, and cane loungers to cosy up on while a fire burns brightly on a chilly winter night. The walls are decorated with lovely murals, and arched doorways lead into the dining space, which is furnished with ornate Victorian-style dining chairs and a large eight-seat dining table; An antique chest of drawers, a fireplace with a dainty candelabra on the mantelpiece, and shelves full of trophies transport you to the days of yore. The in-house restaurant is furnished with antique cane fauteuils and offers a lovely view of the forested environs outside. The room on offer here is called ‘The Camphor Room’ and is compact and well-furnished. Ideal if you are looking for a romantic accommodation, the room is furnished with a teak double bed, a cane-backed rocking chair that is perfect for some light reading or even some daytime snoozing, and a writing desk and chair for convenience.
