Pour yourself a tall glass of honey-lemonade and settle down for a soak in the pebble-floored pool, with the gorgeous tropical landscape spread out before you. Featuring a classic ‘chuttu’ veranda, the cottage shelters a colonnade of wooden columns and two spacious loggias which are decked with indoor swings, chic cane furniture, and stylish loungers. While the water babies in the group are taking a dip, you can kick back and relax here over a sumptuous serving of seafood. Inside, the behemoth ceiling is an exhibition of some fine decorative sculptural woodwork—with raftered beams supporting a row of curved panels and elegantly handcrafted cornices. Little surprise that the room creates an idyllic aura that is similar to a royal retreat, and is accentuated by a dreamlike shallow pool in the centre and the presence of old-fashioned pendant lamps and redwood furniture. Panelled entirely in redwood, the bedroom comes stylishly furnished with a plush double bed, a shelf stocked with essential bath linen, and ample comfy pillows. The en suite bathroom features an open-roof structure which encloses a pebbled floor, a shower area, and a wash area.
