Homestay near Periyar Tiger Reserve

Set against the backdrop of the misty mountains of Kurushumala with the lush meadows of Periyar in proximity, this homestay is ideally located less than a kilometre away from Kumily town, the spice garden of India and borders the famed forest of Periyar Tiger Reserve. It offers a simple, decently furnished, and moderately priced room for up to three people. The room is minimal, and houses a comfortable double bed and a writing desk for convenience. The washroom is tiled and well-fitted with western sanitary ware. The property has a functional kitchen and a dining area occupied by a six-seat dinette so you can have your meals with ease. Those who enjoy reading can head to the common living area occupied by a set of comfy sofas and a small bookcase, and take their pick!

We have 3 comfortable twin bed rooms, attached modern bathroom with flowing hot water, kitchenette, exclusive dining area and a patio facing the Tiger Reserve. The entry to Periyar Tiger Reserve is walking distance which makes access to all forest bound activities very easy. We would be happy to provide assistance in blocking the forest activities for guests staying with us.

Guest Brief

With the windows facing the tiger reserve, the twin bed room has amenities like writing table, chairs, reading lamps, cupboard for safe keeping and an attached bathroom. We provide a coffee/tea maker, fridge, hot plate etc. in the kitchenette. With great view of the Periyar Hills at the backdrop and the meadows on the other side, the Roof top sit out is the highlight of our property. We offer a mixture of mouth watering traditional Kerala as well as continental dishes
