The boat is held together entirely by knots hence the name Kettuvallam, which literally translate into boat tied up. It is made of wood from the Jack fruit tree. The entire construction of the boat is a tribute to the master craftsmanship of local artisans, the luxurious boat through entirely ethnic boats of state of the art amenities and comforts fit for royalty. All materials used are local and entirely eco-friendly providing the prefect blend of old world and new. The journey will be from Alleppey-Kollam/Alumkadavu

The Houseboats were used on cargo transporting in the past years .Now, after the drastic development of road transportation the Kettuvalloms lost there relevant and we converted it as moving Houseboats, but what the magic is we have our own special route with small canals and very secret parking place away from all other noisy Houseboats.
