Housed in a rustic Portuguese villa, this is a group of five eclectic bedrooms that are done up in vibrant themes and pastoral décor. Set before a porch that is decked in logwood benches, woven vases, ceramic pickle jars, and a stone fountain feature, each bedroom is entered through an old-fashioned double-door, which sets a theme of antiquity. Bright teal-accented windows flank the door. The bedrooms are done up in myriad shades of spring—from mellow gold to fuchsia, tangerine, and teal—which combine to recreate the aura of rustic Mediterranean villas. Walls are adorned in colourful patchwork folk-art and memorabilia of photographs from the colonial era. The bathroom is well-appointed. In the tangerine room, a handsome gilded bed sits decked in embroidered bedding and brocade cushions, while on the wall beside it a wrought-iron candelabra and a carved mirror with a cusped arch gracefully sit. In the teal and fuchsia rooms, magnificent gilded wardrobes and trunk-style tables rule their cosy expanse, while a similarly carved latticework mirror can be found in the former. The bathrooms are well-appointed with stylish sanitary ware and feature tiled interiors. Apart from the folk-themed rooms, two spacious suites are also offered as part of this five-bedroom accommodation. Sheltered under a rustic raftered ceiling, the gold-hued suite has a plush double bed fashioned out of varnished alabaster, which is dressed in silken bedding and ethnic Indian cushions. A similarly moulded bench on the side doubles up as storage for luggage, linen, or knick-knacks. Split into a sitting area and a bedroom, this suite comes with cosy wooden sofas and a tall chest of drawers. A well-stocked bookcase inbuilt into a wall is there for the special delight of bookworms. The bathroom is well-tiled and stocked with essential bath linen and toiletries. The deep azure-hued suite features carved wooden cabinets adorned with multihued and intricate stone inlays, and a wreath-work dresser. The bathroom is rather spacious and features a massive tiled bath and modern sanitary ware. With plush sun beds fashioned out of refurbished old Rajasthani ox-carts, the garden is set around a glittering blue pool and a yoga and recreation centre. Personally supervised classes, professional massage and spa treatments can be easily availed for additional charges.
