Located in Assagao, one of the most fashionable residential areas in Goa, this three-bedroom Portuguese-style villa is a 200-yeal-old structure that has been refurbished to host travellers and provide comfort. It stands in a beautiful private garden, with luxuriant palms, tall trees, and rich garden shrubbery. A large pool encased in hedged boundaries and a host of palms invites you for a rejuvenating dip once you have had enough of the sun and sand on the bustling Goan beaches. Relax afterwards on the umbrella-covered deckchairs on the pool deck and take a little nap or read a few pages of that book you’ve been meaning to finish. The villa is an ode to tradition and vintage, with a colonnade creating a spacious veranda that houses comfy cushioned cane chairs if you want to just chill and a small four-seat dinette if you want to have a leisurely meal while enjoying the view of the verdurous environs. The interiors are tastefully done up, with vintage elements that add to the old-world charm. Well-cushioned settee-style seaters are accompanied by a teakwood table with strong stout pillared legs, while Victorian-style wall sconces adorn the walls for illumination. The bedrooms on offer boast rather plush beds, with graceful bedside lamps not only adding ambient lighting but also making it easier to read in bed. A large arched doorway leads out into a spacious balcony sit-out, furnished with cushioned cane seaters, an ideal space to enjoy the company of your travel companions or just enjoy some quiet time with a hot cuppa. The en suite bathrooms are well-appointed, with modern sanitary ware and a glass-separated shower space. Should you wish to amp up the romance, you can choose to dine outdoors under a pretty pergola, with cascading vine tendrils forming a backdrop and chartreuse greenery forming a beautiful overhead canopy, while tall candle holders and a vintage pendant lamp hangs above to provide muted illumination. The hosts provide a personal chef, who can stir up a meal of your choice and serve it to you in your chosen spot anywhere in the villa! Breakfast is complimentary here. This villa is situated in proximity to Anjuna and Vagator, as well as the best restaurants in Mapusa town.
