Surrounded by expanses of lush paddy fields, this offering of a six-bedroom villa can accommodate up to ten guests. The beautiful villa promises a memorable time. The services of a chef are available to cater to your meals. Parking is available for those on a road trip. The villa boasts a private pool.
Your Space Tucked away down a narrow red mud lane, flanked by a meandering river, the villa is arguably Goa’s best-kept secret. The village of Colvale itself bears the rustic charm of a Goa gone by, covered by expanses of lush paddy fields and the gentle wash of the Chapora River. It is steeped in history as far back as the second century and while it was an important defence station during colonial times, has relaxed into a kind of permanent holiday-like stupor that is bound to charm the socks off any city-based traveller. The brimming swimming pool with an unobstructed view of the lush mangroves and swaying palms beckons you to take a plunge. After your swim, you can unwind on the sun loungers placed under the shade of a clay-tiled awning. The luscious carpets of grass lined with snake plants catch the sun perfectly through the inter-webs of majestic trees. Inside, the living room is gracefully furnished and flaunts a wood-panelled ceiling installation. It is appointed with a plush sectional sofa, a couple of comfortable rattan chairs, and a chic cubical table. The seating arrangement is placed in front of a flat-screen television, so you can comfortably watch your favourite shows. The kitchen is a mix of earthy and stylish with adobe walls and natural wood cabinets. It is equipped with a gas stove, a microwave, an electric kettle, and essential utensils so you can whip up a delicious snack. The bedrooms are beautifully done up with modern décor. Each of the rooms is furnished with a plush queen-sized bed, a flat-screen television for entertainment while indoors, a couple of cushioned wicker chairs, and a Scandinavian-style table. A burnt-orange accent wall beautifully complements the drapes. A fluffy rug adorns the floor which adds to the cosiness. The bathrooms are nicely tiled and sport western sanitary ware.
Guests are requested to provide valid ID proof at the time of check-in. It’s hard to find fine dining at your doorstep when you’re off the beaten track, but at Casa Colvale you never have to worry. Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the Riverview bar shaded by coconut palms, and long lazy dinners at the Riverside restaurant that offers a range of Italian, continental and Indian fine dining. Breakfast is best in the common lounge where the view of the river adds a zest to each fresh new day, but really, you could have it anywhere you please.
