Located in the heart of the old French town in Puducherry, this is a room rental in a lavish multi-storeyed villa. The bedroom is rather efficiently furnished with two single beds and plush mattresses, partial wooden wall panelling, and stylish cylindrical bedside lamps. A wooden counter, which also provides for desk space, runs the length of the wall in the TV room. The living room is furnished gracefully with ample seating and long coffee tables accompanied by low stool seats for a touch of tradition; oblong wicker lamps hang from a panelled ceiling to illuminate the room. A narrow strip of pretty athangudi tiles runs through the centre of the room and seems to lead the way outside through the French doors. Outside, the villa stands pretty with a stone façade, open porch with a large comfortable fretwork seater and a cluster of chairs. A few steps lead into an open courtyard in the shade of tall trees, with pretty cane chairs and wooden tables that provide a cosy space for al fresco dining or a těte-à-těte! On the first floor of the villa, an outdoor pool beckons, complete with deck loungers, patio furniture, and a large comfortable sofa for some pool side reverie under the comforting shade of a tree.

Room's furniture have been designed by architect and executed by local artisans using old local wood. A subtle mix between local artifacts and contemporary sensibility bring to the place a unique atmosphere.
