Get away from the crowds and come to relax on Morjim, situated at the mouth of the Chapora River. Famously known as the nesting site for the Olive Ridley turtles, this beach gives you more than just a sandy shore and dancing sea waves. It’s a birdwatcher’s delight and is also the place to be for some rare Dolphin spotting. It also has a concentration of Russians, who charter flights to Goa and set up temporary home here. Get a few beach beds under a thatched-roof sit-out and order yourself a cool beer and some freshly caught fried fish from the beach shack sitting in the background. Gaze out at the ancient Chapora Fort, which can be seen on the opposite side, while you wait for that stunning sunset!
