Our Place is best known for its view of the snowcapped mountains or its spectacular sunsets. But the town of Pauri also has a rich cultural heritage that is largely forgotten. This town is dotted with some of the oldest temples in the country - the only Laxman temple found in the world, and celebrates 17 different festivals in the year. Local folklore follows and stories like Lord Krishna who was believed to have visited this area as a snake or Guru Dronacharya who was said to have lived here with his family are popular.
