Come and spend a wonderful weekend in the Nilgiris, a short drive from Bangalore or Coimbatore. In serene and sylvan surroundings, close to nature and far from the crowds. The Home Stay in Gouri Farms will be a unique experience for your family. The cottage was converted from an old school and is situated within the family’s organic farm. The climate is just right – bright days with blue skies and moderately cold nights. You can enjoy the atmosphere of a quiet hill town. The Gudalur valley, a scenic and undiscovered place, nestles in the foothills of the Nilgiris hills. Gudalur Town, located on the edge of the Mudumalai Sanctuary, is at the tri-junction of Tamilnadu, Kerala and Karnataka States. It provides easy access to many interesting places like Ooty, Mysore and Wayanad; all within two to three hours drive. Our place is a 6-acre organic farm situated in the Gudalur valley. We grow seasonal vegetables, coffee, pepper, various fruits and mushrooms. There are cows, goats, chicken, ducks, turkeys and other fowl. Absolutely no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used. Vermi-composting generates the manure we need. Our biogas plant provides both fuel and slurry, which is also used as a fertilizer manure. In addition, many traditional preparations like Panchakavya are used.
