Before getting to the cottage bit you'd like to know the uphill journey from nainital to pangot is beautiful! You get a breathtaking view of the naini lake and the entire city. Also, the mighty Himalayas give you glimpses throughout the journey. Stay there long enough and the staff there will make you wish you lived there permanently. They're courteous, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are well done with stone/ wood work, with dim lights and a fireplace. Quite cozy. The views from each cottage is heavenly. Overlooking the plains even! (Lived in 4 cottages here, the view didn't disappoint at all.) The food is fresh plus you decide the menu. Stick to Indian though. Experimenting with other cuisines didn't do us much good. The staff there arranged local taxis for a visit to nainital since we didn't want to drive down. Overall, the trip was great and a much better bet than living in the busy and heavily crowded nainital. (Pictures attached are of the views from the cottage + a fireplace in our cottage) Ps - There's no mobile network or any other sort of connectivity available. You'll have to walk up the hill - a feww 100metres - to be able to make a decent call.
I had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The cottage is located in a very peaceful area, away from the busy city life. This is an amazing location for a perfect vacation. All amenities were there and the services were really good. I enjoyed the local touch that was there in this accommodation. The staff was very friendly.
