It was built by Thakur Champawat, three hundred years ago ! The fort has undergone several changes since then and resembles Indo-European architecture. It is located between Ranak Hills on th eright and Jawai river on the left. The lineage comes down to the present Thakur , who moved into the family home, after working in tea, coffee and rubber plantations in South India.
The place lies in the heart of the village and is set amidst lush green gardens. Your host Thakur & Thakurani will look after the desrning travelers and it is a pleasure to spend in their homestay. Activities:- - Enjoy Rajasthani Folk dances and music. - Enjoy a village safari where all the rural skills, arts and crafts can be observed. - If desired go for a soft hike / trek to the near by hills and visit a local temple. - Visit the countryside farms and see local farming as well as visit to Teak and Amla plantations visits.
