Resting on the tranquil waters of Lake Vembanattu in the sleepy village of Kumarakom, this traditional thatched boat offers two well-furnished bedrooms and a host of modern amenities. Known as the ‘Rice Bowl of India’, Kumarakom is a seamless montage of luxuriant mangroves, sprawling paddy fields, and tall coconut trees, which is only punctuated by winding canals and wide lakes. With exteriors fabricated entirely out of woven cane and bamboo logwoods, the houseboat exudes a pastoral vibe. The front—which is called the bow of the houseboat—doubles up as a sitting space with the introduction of comfortable sofas, a six-seat dining table, and a ‘chuttu’ veranda. As the breath-taking view rises before you while sailing, stretch out with a steaming cuppa and immerse yourself in the serenity. Sailing far off the mainland, you don’t have to fret too much over meals! Well-equipped with a cooktop, an electric chimney, and a basic cooking utensils, our in-house kitchen is fully functional and convenient.
Rooms of this houseboat are beautifully decorated, neat & clean, well maintained and spacious. These rooms provide the best comfort and a relaxed stay to the guests. It includes 2 bedrooms, kitchen and a dining area. You can view the amazing beauty of landscape and other surroundings while staying in this houseboat.
