The area has been a film-shooting location for many films like Omkara, Mrutyudand, Swades, Gangajal, Dabangg, Gulaab Gang, Ram Teri Ganga Maili etc. Most of them are shot in Wai and the nearby villages like Bavdhan, Chikhli, Menvali, Bhuinj, Pachwad & the surroundings of Dhom, Balakwadi, Jambhali & Nagewadi dams. Around 300+ Bollywood and Marathi films have been shot in Wai.
Each tent can accommodate 4 people and has a bed. Tents do not have attached washroom. We have common washrooms separate for ladies and gents with all the amenities.

Wai came into existence in the 1700s when the Pandavas lived here. At that point it was called Viraatnagari. Since it has over 100 temples, it is also called Dakshin Kaashi. The most famous temple is the "Dholya Ganapati" temple on the "Ganapati Ghat". The place is also known for the historic event that happened in 1645 associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who took the oath of Hindavi Swarajya in the Raireshwar temple at Wai.
